Auditor Stinziano Urges Voters to Check Levy Estimator Before Voting
Published on 07 April 2026
With six local levy issues on the May 2026 primary ballot around Franklin County, Auditor Michael Stinziano is encouraging homeowners to use the Franklin County Auditor’s updated Levy Estimator to see how those ballot measures could affect their property taxes before they vote.
The online tool is part of the Auditor’s Office’s Value of Your Vote outreach effort, which helps residents better understand the possible tax impact of levy and bond issues on their ballot.
By entering a property address or parcel number at franklincountyauditor.com/LevyEstimator, homeowners can see the levies currently affecting their property, along with an estimate of what their taxes could be if a proposed levy or bond issue in their jurisdiction is approved in the May primary election.
“Voting on a levy is an important decision, and people deserve clear information about what it could mean for their household,” Stinziano said. “The Levy Estimator helps residents see the potential impact on their own property so they can cast an informed vote.”
There are six local levy issues in jurisdictions within Franklin County on the May primary ballot: Minerva Park, Prairie Township, Jefferson Township, Sharon Township, Southwest Library, and Franklin Township. There are no countywide levies on the ballot.
The Auditor’s Office updates the Levy Estimator each election cycle and also mails postcards directing residents to the tool as part of its Value of Your Vote public information campaign.
Early voting and absentee voting begin Tuesday, April 7. Voters should remember that under new Ohio law, mail-in absentee ballots must be received by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day. Voters may also hand-deliver a completed absentee ballot to the Franklin County Board of Elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day at 1700 Morse Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43229.
