Auditor Launches Levy Estimator for November Election
Published on 05 October 2026
In time for the start of early voting Tuesday, Franklin County Auditor Michael Stinziano announced that the Auditor’s Office Levy Estimator is now live, giving property owners a way to estimate how proposed property tax levies and bond issues on the November ballot could affect their property taxes.
After spending the summer helping property owners understand their updated values, the Auditor’s Office is turning its attention to another major driver of property taxes: voter-approved levies and bond issues.
Over the summer, property owners had the opportunity to review their tentative values as part of the 2026 Property Value Update and participate in the Property Value Review process if they had questions or additional information about their property. Thousands of property owners took part in that process.
“Property owners have an important role in understanding the factors that ultimately shape their property tax bills,” Stinziano said. “This summer, that meant reviewing your property value and making sure we had accurate information. Now, as voting begins, the Levy Estimator gives residents another opportunity to understand how decisions made at the ballot box could affect their property taxes.”
The Levy Estimator allows property owners to search by address or parcel number and see applicable property tax levies and bond issues on the November ballot. The tool provides an estimated dollar amount showing how those measures could affect the property’s taxes if approved.
The estimator is part of the Auditor’s Office Know the Value of Your Vote initiative, which provides residents with information to better understand the relationship between ballot issues and property taxes.
“Our role is to give property owners clear, useful information about their property and their taxes,” Stinziano said. “The Levy Estimator takes information that can be complicated and makes it easier for residents to see what a proposed levy or bond issue could mean for their own property.”
Nine local property tax levies are on ballots in jurisdictions across Franklin County this November. There are no countywide property tax levies on the ballot, so the measures a voter sees will depend on where they live. The estimates are provided for informational purposes and reflect the potential property tax impact of applicable measures if approved.
