Check the Levy Estimator Before Tuesday’s Election
Published on 29 April 2026
COLUMBUS, Ohio – With Election Day just days away, Franklin County Auditor Michael Stinziano is urging homeowners to use the Franklin County Auditor’s Levy Estimator to see how local ballot issues could affect their property taxes before voting on Tuesday, May 5.
Part of the Auditor’s Office’s Value of Your Vote outreach effort, the Levy Estimator helps residents connect what is on their ballot to their own property tax bill.
By entering a property address or parcel number at auditor.franklincountyohio.gov/LevyEstimator, homeowners can view the levies currently affecting their property and see an estimate of what their taxes could be if a proposed levy or bond issue in their jurisdiction passes.
“Before voters cast their ballot, they should have a clear picture of what a levy could mean for their household,” Stinziano said. “The Levy Estimator gives homeowners a simple, property-specific way to understand the potential tax impact of issues on their ballot.”
There are six local levy issues on the May 5 primary ballot in jurisdictions within Franklin County: Minerva Park, Prairie Township, Jefferson Township, Sharon Township, Southwest Public Libraries, and Franklin Township. There are no countywide levies on the ballot.
The Auditor’s Office updates the Levy Estimator each election cycle and promotes the tool through its Value of Your Vote public outreach campaign, including postcard mailings that direct residents to the site.
According to the Franklin County Board of Elections, early in person voting continues through Sunday, May 3, and absentee ballots must be received by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day to be counted. The Board also says voters may hand-deliver a completed absentee ballot by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day to the Franklin County Board of Elections, 1700 Morse Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229.
